When God works in the heart of an individual, we often say it is to save him from sin and death, giving to him a new life in Christ. We say, as the Scriptures declare, that God is working to save the lost soul. But to what end? Is it not to bring the lost, helpless soul into fellowship with Himself? Is it not to commune with Christ at His table, and know the reality of His indwelling life by the Spirit?
